Lando Norris has been having a fantastic season with his Papaya team - having already taken a victory, a pole, and eight podiums to put him 2nd in the Championship as he looks to make a championship charge to the end of the season.  

Norris started the weekend off very strong, as he went fastest in FP2 & FP3.

The damp conditions in qualifying proved trickier and having set his fastest time earlier in the session, the McLaren point man nearly got caught out by the circuit drying off but thankfully he managed to make it through.

In Q2, Norris would set a fantastic lap-time to get him to the top of the times as they headed into the final qualifying session of the day.  

Qualifying has been incredibly close all season long, as there are now four teams that are up front and competing for wins. All four cars can get the results in practice, and at the start of qualifying - but Q3 is where the driver makes the difference.  

Everyone set their first times quite early - with Verstappen going fastest and Piastri provisionally alongside him with just Lando left to set a lap.

He came round the final corner and jaws dropped around the circuit as the Briton went pole by an incredible three tenths of a second!

As everyone raced round to get their second lap done, Piastri went faster and closed the gap to 0.022 to lock out the front-row for McLaren!  

This helmet right here is the very helmet that Norris was wearing as he set that thundering lap around the Hungaroring in qualifying.

The helmet that was designed in collaboration with Herend Porcelain to create a spectacular porcelain design using white, blue and a tiny bit of gold.  

Herend Porcelain are also the designers and manufacturers of the Hungarian Grand Prix trophies.

A trophy that Norris also received on the Sunday, as he drove the no.4 MCL38 to second place behind his teammate.  

This helmet, used by Norris in the Hungarian qualifying, is now being auctioned in order to raise money for two charities, both supporting young people who struggle with visual impairment and blindness.

The Hungarian National Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired & Royal Society of Blind Children.

Both charities do incredible work to support those whose lives are detrimentally impacted due to blindness, as they strive to make their lives easier and better. 

The championship contender has generously donated this helmet so that 100% of the profits can go to charity and affect change for the better.
